Six days to go and I’ll become Mrs. Bibby.
I was thinking of writing about our pre-wedding preparations but my ‘travels’ kept me from doing so. That and the fact that there’s not much planning involved. I thought preparing for a wedding, MY wedding, would be tedious and stressful, but as I look back, it’s not that hard.
Only because we know what we wanted: Small, intimate, immediate.
Venue scouting, coming up with a theme, what’s included and what’s not, who’s invited and who’s not… It’s fairly easy because we know what we wanted. And to be honest, it’s all about our budget.
Even though there’s not much to do, I still enjoyed looking for color schemes, checking weddings sites, creating my own invite (email and hard copy), making my own name tags and giveaways, and all that nitty-gritty stuff that your partner wouldn’t think of. I’m proud to be a DIY bride and if you were a bride to be, I’d recommend you to be one ONLY if you have that much time to spare! I do as I am currently ‘freelancing’. 🙂
Here are some sites that really helped me in my search:
Etsy, Singapore Brides, The Perfect Palette (this would be our color scheme – just follow the link), Lover.ly, Pinterest, Wedding Bells Blog, Dessy, Bridesign.com, among others.
Anyway, this is it for now! 🙂 Will probably update about it soon!
